About Mr. Reinhardt
Tim Reinhardt started playing violin when he was 2 years old (see embarrassing picture). His mother and father were both music teachers and when he was in 7th grade, he decided that he would follow in their footsteps.
He received his Bachelor’s in Music Education from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Mr. Reinhardt taught in Harford County for several years before teaching at Hammond. After conducting the Howard County Elementary Enrichment Orchestra for two years, he now conducts the Howard County High School GT Orchestra. He has also been the conductor of the Harford String Orchestra since 2004 and conducts orchestras at the Baltimore String Orchestra Camp each summer. As a violinist, he performed with the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra for several years, and now plays in various recitals and performances in the metropolitan area. He has also performed in the Cincinnati Community Orchestra and spent a summer as a member of the Lucca Opera Theatre Orchestra in Lucca, Italy. Mr. Reinhardt is in demand as a guest conductor for various All-County Orchestras and clinics. He also frequently adjudicates orchestra festivals, solo and ensemble festivals, and the All-State Orchestra auditions. Mr. Reinhardt also composes music for various ensembles including young orchestras, adult symphony orchestras, and steel drum bands. |
