Required Materials
All students should come to rehearsals and sectionals prepared with the following:
- Instrument
- Orchestra Folder containing orchestra music, method book, and practice calendar
- Method Book
~ All Sinfonia Students (Pd.6) should have All for Strings Bk. 3
~ Chamber Orchestra Students (Pd.1) should have Strictly Strings Book 2
- Pencil (please keep a few handy in your case or folder so you are always prepared)
- Agenda Book
Other Materials that all Orchestra Musicians should own:
- Rosin
- Shoulder Rest (for violin and viola)
- Rockstop (for cello and bass)
- Mute
- Metronome
- Tuner
- Music Stand
- Extra Strings (always have one complete set of strings. You never know when you will have an emergency)
- Soft Cloth (to wipe rosin off AFTER practicing)
Materials that are not necessary, but may be desired:
- Practice Mute
- Polishing Kit
- Humidifying System (ex. dampit)
